Food Business Operators Can Operate With Fssai Application Number

Uninterrupted Food Services During Lockdown

The Fssai in view of uninterrupted Food services during Lockdown in the country has allowed

• Food Business Operators other than manufacturers
• to temporarily operate their food business with the Fssai Receipt of Fssai Registration or Fssai License.
• The 17 Digit Application Reference number will be valid for doing food Business during the Lockdown period.

What needs to be done ?

• The FBO has to apply for Fssai Registration/Fssai License by
• making online Application and paying the Prescribed fees on Fssai Portal and after making the Payment
• the FLRS will generate a 17 digit Application Reference Number(ARN)
• The FBO has to submit the additional Form M.
• If any Remark issued by Fssai That needs to be complied with and Resubmit the application.
• If Application Rejected, the FBO has to Immediately stop the Food Business even in Lockdown period.

What If Fssai Certificate Not issued applied during Lockdown?

As the Fssai has permitted the FBO to carry activities with application Reference no only, The applicant who has applied Fssai during Lockdown period and has started the Food Business with the Certificate.

If FSSAI Certificate not issued during the Period and application in Under procees: the applicant can do Business during and max 30 days of End of Lockdown period.

If Fssai Application Rejected During Lockdown: the Applicant has to immediately Stop its business even if started its business.
